with a free Photo Walk for all photography enthusiasts around the full of character alleys of Keramikos area!
#TheAthensWeNeed is an annual festival organized by The Organization of Earth. As a member of the World Urban Campaign, a UN initiative to achieve green, productive, safe, healthy, inclusive and well-designed cities, organizes for the first time “The Athens We Need” in collaboration with Design 4 Future, in the context of the implementation of the Global Objectives for Sustainable Development in urban centers. A four-day event, from Thursday 23 to Sunday, November 26, 2017, in the Kerameikos area, with the ultimate goal of creating, through collaborative actions, an area of dialogue and co-design between residents, organizations, businesses, municipal and other institutions in the region, to develop a New Urban Agenda.
Starting from Organization Earth K44, PhotoWalksinAthens.com will lead an exploration of the alleys of Kerameikos area. Through the photo lens and under the guidance of the professional photographer Vasilis Germanis we will capture the over-2000-years history of the neighborhood, the remaining of an old era and the contemporary influence.
This relaxed photographic stroll is open to photo lovers with basic or specialized photography knowledge. An interest in photographic art is the only necessary qualification asked.
Join us in order to learn the photography terms and rules that create a dynamic, intriguing composition in your photo and get practical guidance on how to apply them to your images. Introduce yourself to a variety of photographic techniques and learn how the elements of light, colors and shapes, contrasts, symmetry and asymmetry can positively affect our creative look and expression!
